Product Acoustical Engineering Research and
Development
The need for product
acoustical research and development is becoming a very high
priority for IT, CE and consumer products. Many companies,
within these industries, do not own the necessary equipment
or have the in-house expertise for developing their products
acoustically due to the very large cost involved of building
an in-house laboratory and maintaining experienced dedicated acoustical
engineers
at a fully burdened labor rate in excess of $150K US per
year per person. Because of the rarity and expense of an
experienced acoustical engineer, the person in
charge of such development is usually a mechanical or
thermal engineer with little to no expertise developing
products acoustically. The final result, from these
engineer's long hours of hard work, may be able to meet a
specification for single number sound power or sound
pressure levels yet still have significant noise complaints
for that product.
Our expertise allows you to
work “outside the box” by providing you the flexibility to
perform the acoustical development needed for your products
in a highly cost effective manner. Our
ability to develop fixtures and testing techniques to
acquire and analyze the acoustical emissions or sound
quality of your products is unsurpassed.
